Welcome to Rainforest Gateway — a family-owned, dog friendly creekside campground tucked into the scenic Border Ranges.
Rainforest Gateway has been locally owned and operated for generations, welcoming travellers, campers and families with genuine care and warmth.
The park has grown from a small local hideaway into a much-loved stop for those exploring the Northern Rivers or heading across the Queensland border. Staying here feels like visiting old friends, relaxed, friendly, and filled with the charm of country life.

Choose from powered and unpowered campsites overlooking Grady’s Creek, where you can set up your tent, van or camper and enjoy the sound of running water.

For extra comfort, our three one-bedroom units can accommodate up to five guests and are ideal for families or workers needing weekly stays.
Rainforest Gateway is a relaxed base for campers, caravanners and cabin guests who enjoy exploring the region. Located just off Lions Road, it’s well placed for scenic drives, quiet country roads and outdoor adventures.
Motorbike riders can enjoy the popular Lions Road route, with rainforest views and easy stops in Rathdowney or Woodenbong. Mountain bike trails are also close by at the Kyogle MTB Park in Boorabee State Forest, offering flowing single-track trails for all skill levels.
After a day out, return to grassy campsites, hot showers and a peaceful night by the creek. Secure bike storage is available.
A place where campers chat by the fire, kids play by the creek, and visitors leave as friends.
We know that adventures are better shared, so your four-legged friends are welcome too.
Rainforest Gateway prides itself on offering a genuine sense of community.
Guests can take advantage of a rustic camp kitchen, hot showers, flush toilets and a small onsite shop for basics.
Rainforest Gateway offers a range of facilities to make your stay comfortable, from a large undercover camp kitchen to hot showers and filtered drinking water.
